PetPortions.fyi does not currently earn anything from the links on this site. This page sets out how affiliate links would work if that changes, and what will not change with them.
The Short Version
We are an independent site. We are not owned by, paid by, or controlled by any pet food brand or retailer. No link here pays us at the moment. If that ever changes, you will still pay the same price you would have paid going direct, and this page will say which programs we are in.
Where We Stand Today
As of August 2026 we are not enrolled in any affiliate program, and no link on this site earns us anything. Our price links go straight to the retailer's product page with no affiliate tag attached. We are publishing this disclosure now because we do intend to apply to affiliate programs as the site grows, and we would rather set out the rules before there is money involved than after.
The programs we expect to join first are Amazon Associates and the retailer or brand programs covering foods we already list. When that happens, this page gets updated before the first paid link goes live, and it will name the programs we are actually in.
Does This Affect What We Recommend?
No. Our calculator uses vet and industry guidelines (AAFCO, NRC) and your dog's profile. Product rankings come from price-per-day and nutritional fit, not commission rates. Some foods we show have no affiliate program at all, and we include them because they are worth comparing.
If a brand offered us more money to rank them higher, we would say no. The site only works if the numbers are honest.
Prices Aren't Real-Time
We pull prices from retailer listings on a schedule. They can go stale: promotions end, products get reformulated, packs get resized. Always check the retailer's page for the current price before you buy. More on that in our Disclaimer.
