PetPortions.fyi is a small independent site. We don't have user accounts, don't sell anything directly, and don't run a mailing list. Here's the limited data we collect and what we do with it.
What We Collect
Calculator inputs
When you use our calculator, you enter information about your dog — breed, weight, age, sex, activity level, and conditions like pregnant or overweight. We send this to our server to compute a result and return it to you. We do not store it tied to your identity or build a profile from it.
Server logs
Our hosting provider records standard web request data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamps. Used for security, debugging, and general traffic understanding.
Cookies from third parties
We use these services, which set their own cookies:
- Google Analytics 4 — tracks page views and general usage. Google's privacy policy.
- Amazon Associates — sets attribution cookies when you click an Amazon link. Amazon's privacy notice.
- Impact.com / Chewy — attribution cookies when you click a Chewy link. Chewy's privacy policy.
- Brand affiliate partners (Ollie, The Farmer's Dog, Nom Nom, Spot & Tango, and similar) — may set their own cookies when you click through.
What We Don't Collect
- No user accounts, logins, or passwords.
- No email addresses (unless you email us — then we only keep your message).
- No payment information. Ever. Purchases happen on the retailer's site.
- No precise location or sensitive personal information.
How We Use It
To run the calculator, understand how the site is used, let retailers attribute affiliate purchases, and keep the site secure. We don't rent, trade, or sell your personal information.
Cookies
The cookies on this site come from Google Analytics and from affiliate networks when you click an outbound link. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The calculator works either way.
External Links
Once you click through to a retailer or brand, their privacy practices apply, not ours.
Children's Privacy
PetPortions is not aimed at children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information to us, email privacy@petportions.fyi and we'll delete it.
California Residents
California law gives you rights over your personal information — including the right to know what we've collected, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of data sharing. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@petportions.fyi with "California Privacy Request" in the subject line. We'll respond within 45 days.
