ACANA Light & Fit Recipe is a grain-free dry dog food formulated for adult maintenance with a higher protein-to-fat ratio for dogs prone to weight gain. Chicken, turkey, chicken meal, turkey meal, flounder, herring meal, dehydrated egg, chicken liver, and chicken heart supply the animal protein, while whole red lentils, green peas, yellow peas, green lentils, pinto beans, and chickpeas form the carbohydrate base instead of grains or potatoes. Fish oil contributes DHA and EPA, with kelp, pumpkin, collard greens, apples, pears, chicory root, turmeric, and rose hips rounding out the formula. It is formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles for adult maintenance and delivers 3020 kcal/kg.
