ACANA Red Meat Recipe is a grain-free dry dog food built on beef, pork, beef meal, and pork meal, with lamb, beef fat, beef tripe, beef and pork liver and kidney, and freeze-dried beef, pork, and lamb supplying additional animal protein. Whole red lentils, pinto beans, green peas, green lentils, chickpeas, and yellow peas form the carbohydrate base instead of grains or potatoes, with fish oil contributing DHA and EPA. Botanicals such as kelp, pumpkin, collard greens, apples, pears, chicory root, turmeric, and rose hips round out the formula. It is formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles for all life stages including growth of large-size dogs and delivers 3405 kcal/kg.
