A grain-inclusive dry kibble formulated for puppies. Chicken is the lead protein, followed by chicken by-product meal and soybean meal. Ground whole grain corn, ground whole grain sorghum, and brewers rice supply the carbohydrate base, with chicken fat (preserved with mixed tocopherols), fish oil, and dried egg product contributing fat. Added fish oil delivers DHA to support brain and visual development, while dicalcium phosphate, calcium, and phosphorus support skeletal growth. Dried beet pulp and fructooligosaccharides provide prebiotic fiber. The recipe is rounded out with carrots and a full vitamin and mineral premix. Caloric density is 3654 kcal/kg, or roughly 380 kcal per cup.
