A grain-free dry kibble built around whole herring, salmon, monkfish, Acadian redfish, flounder, whole whiting, sardine meal, herring meal, blue whiting meal, and pollock meal as primary protein sources, with whole red lentils, pinto beans, green lentils, navy beans, and peas supplying the carbohydrate base. Freeze-dried shrimp morsels are mixed into the kibble. Herring oil and sunflower oil contribute fatty acids, and EPA and DHA are guaranteed. The recipe includes whole pumpkin, butternut squash, zucchini, carrots, apples, pears, kale, spinach, beet greens, turnip greens, blueberries, and cranberries, plus dried Bacillus coagulans fermentation product. Botanicals include turmeric, sarsaparilla root, althea root, rosehips, and juniper berries. Formulated to meet AAFCO Dog Food Nutrient Profiles for All Life Stages, except growth of large-size dogs (70 lb or more as an adult). Caloric density is 3760 kcal/kg (451 kcal per cup).
